| EVALUATIONS: Evaluations are the critical first step in receiving support and intervention for children with learning, emotional, and/or behavioural problems. In addition to helping parents better understand the underpinnings of their child’ s behaviours, detailed evaluations are the foundation for IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) and other support services at school, and provide an important background for medical and other specialists who may be treating the child in the coming years. Psychological and psycho-educational evaluations are conducted in English or French. Unless otherwise specified, all testing is administered by Dr. Harriet Greenstone. Approximately one month after the final feedback session, summarizing results of the evaluation, pertinent recommendations and plan, decided upon together with the parents, Dr. Greenstone provides a detailed written report describing the tests administered, the child’s performance on those tests, a summary of the child’s strength and weaknesses, any applicable diagnosis, and a list of recommendations for home and school.
